 Michael Lanni Mike has been striper fishing for 30 years. He started fishing in Narragansett Bay, but soon switched to fishing the waters of Point Judith and Block Island. In photo above, Mike poses with a 64 lb striper that he landed at Block Island on 7/8/10. |
 Donald Smith Don is a hard core striper fisherman who fishes several nights a week in Block Island waters with his fishing partner, Peter Vican. Although he released 99% of his catch, he will usually keep a few fish each year for the table, like the 47.18 pound linesider in photo above. |
 Peter Vican In the past few years, Peter has become a Rhode Island striper legend, going into the all-time R.I. record books for breaking the striped bass record in 2008 with a 76.14 lb. fish and again last year with a 77.4 lb. monster bass. |
