This months boat ramp review is: ALLEN HARBOR |
|
Maintained by the Town of North Kingstown, the central location of the Allen Harbor ramp provides the boater with easy access to the upper and lower bay. Located on Davisville Road, it features a concrete double ramp, in excellent condition, with a floating central dock. There is ample parking for approximately 30 vehicle/trailers. Bob Brodeur, the committee member who examined the site, noted that there is sufficient water depth for most boats, even at low tide. |
LAUNCH FEES The only down side to the ramp is there is a launch fee. North Kingstown residents pay $5 per launch ($40 per year). Non-residents pay $10 per launch ($80 per year). This is fair since quality ramps are expensive to build and maintain. |
