When RISAA was founded it was decided that an annual award would be given to the Member Of The Year,
and since the recipient would be decided by the Board of Directors, a
rule was established so that no Board member would be eligible to win
this prestigious award. Had that rule not been in place, Steve "Seadog" Travisono would likely have won every year.
The position of Treasurer is nearly a full-time job, and Steve has held
that position for the past 4 years. He is also chairman of the
Entertainment Committee, and works on the Boat Shows, Bylaws,
Education, Newsletter, Scholarship and Tournaments Committees. He
is also treasurer for the New England Saltwater Fishing Show.
As this Association's most tireless worker, you will always find him
pitching in at every activity and function. Whether it's slaving over
hot charcoals at the Take-A-City-Kid Fishing Day, raffling doorprizes
at the annual banquet, or showing up at 5:00 to set up before every
monthly seminar, he will always be the first to volunteer.
We're PROUD to have Steve Travisono as RISAA members!
