| • One of the original 15 charter members that formed RISAA. • Served on the Fund-Raising Committee for the past 8 years. • Served on the RISAA Board of Directors for the past 5 years.  The above are RISAA accomplishments of Don Smith - those things that are of public knowledge. But what's really special about Don, are the things that no one knows about. Every month, he prints and frames the certificates that are handed to every seminar speaker, thanking them for their presentation. Every time I have to attend the function of a RISAA affiliated club, I call Don, and he comes up with a "gift" that I can present on behalf of RISAA. Don even goes out of his way to meet with me to make sure I have those items. Over the years, RISAA has had many fund-raising raffles, and it usually takes 4-6 weeks to get the necessary permits from the State Police and local municipality. But, only 4 days away from the New England Saltwater Fishing Show, it was discovered that no one obtained the necessary permit for our Fund-Raising Committee's planned raffle at the show. We would have to cancel the raffle. But Don didn't give up. I still don't know how he pulled it off, but minutes before the show's ribbon was cut, Don showed up with permit in hand! That had to be some kind of record! We're PROUD to have DON as a RISAA member!
