Roy was one of the original 15 members of RISAA when it started in January of 1998. After
that first year though, because of personal commitments, he had to drop
out, but returned in 2003. Then, when the call went out that the
Boat Show Committee was being reactivated to prepare for the 2004
shows, Roy volunteered to serve on the committee. When the
committee met in November to begin planning, he was elected as
chairman. And, not only was this going to be Roy's first boat
show, he would be responsible for the RISAA booth and all it's details,
PLUS this was also the first year that the committee had to supply the
booth at the Providence Boat Show, South County Boat Show and the N.E.
Saltwater Fishing Show!
Roy not only accepted this multiple project, he took responsibility for
every detail, and saw all three shows through to successful
completion. This is one RISAA member who's not afraid to accept a
challenge!
