First you need to recruit 21 charter captains willing to exchange
fishing trips for advertising and a little publicity. Then you
must set them up into some sort of agenda and get them to commit to a
date. Now, you need to hold a monthly raffle, trying to fit
dozens of RISAA members, into
various spots on several trips each month. In between you must
put up with calls and e-mails from a few of those winners asking what
time to be at the boat? Or worst, you get a last minute call from
someone cancelling, and then have to scramble to find an alternate to
take the spot. This is what it's like to be chairman of the
Charter Trips Committee.Toss in an easy-going personality, plenty of corny jokes, a love of fishing, and you have just found out what Dave Fewster contributes to RISAA! With the help of Gary Perschau and Ed Cook, Dave has to keep track of all of those charter trips, making sure that everyone gets to where they are supposed to be. Then he has to twist an arm or two so someone will write a short story about the trip so other members learn about that charter captain. Good job Dave! We're PROUD to have DAVE as a RISAA member!
