Joan has been a member of RISAA for the past four years, one year after her husband Charlie joined. It didn't take long for her to get involved, and soon joined the newsletter
committee. She and Charlie next joined the cruise committee, and
participated in many boating events aboard their 27' Sportcraft.
At the start of this year, she took the reins as chairperson of the
Scholarship Committee, taking over the job in a year when RISAA has
received the greatest number of scholarship applications ever.
She has been handling the job with the attention to detail that shows
her to be a terrific leader.
Joan has also participated in nearly every RISAA event, from the
Take-A-City-Kid Fishing Day to the Shore Clean-Up (photo above).
If all this wasn't enough to keep her busy, Joan and Charlie also
joined the Entertainment Committee this year, and have jumped in with
planning for the Viking Queen Cruise.
